Including Pets centre and featuring ‘grow your own produce’ Ransons Garden Centre is the newest experience to arrive at Hatton Country World.

The 19,000 sq. ft. garden centre, owned and run by the Ranson family, caters for keen gardeners and families alike. As well as superb plants and gardening essentials there are contemporary and traditional gifts, indoor, outdoor and fashion clothing and a pets department. With decades of horticultural experience, the team is headed up by Julian Ranson who was trained at Writtle Horticultural College and who has managed the flagship garden centre for one of the country’s premier garden centre chains.

“I have always believed that children should be enthused to garden,” says Julian, “and being at the Hatton Experience will certainly help us to achieve that aim. My initiation into gardening was when I was 12 and sowed seeds for my parents and then sold the resulting plants on to them. I have been selling plants ever since. To encourage children to love plants will be high on our list of priorities at Ransons".

Alan Wright - Jewellery

Goldsmith and Silversmith Alan Wright has produced commissions for Cartier, Kelly Osbourne and the Sultan of Brunei. He has produced beautiful jewellery, trinket boxes and other treasures for hundreds of happy shoppers at Hatton, many of whom have become his regular customers.

Hatton Bug Zoo & Gift Shop

Hatton Bug Shop and Zoo is a paradise for children keen to get a close up of nature’s creepiest insects and invertebrates. If your’e looking for an unusual gift or just want to come and meet the residents of Hatton Bug Zoo and Gift Shop you’ll be greeted by Tarantulas, stick insects, snakes, crickets, scorpions, giant moths an praying mantis.

There is also a small museum of exotic bugs, plus live food, rocks fossils, minerals, set specimens, identification charts, bug boxes, gifts and books.
